This novella is the embodiment of the cursed Wird sisters..
Finally we attack the main problem of these girls: their sensational powers. In
addition to discover more about the person who cast this spell/curse on their
parents, we meet a distant cousin who seems to want to help them in their
quest.
I enjoyed reading this new adventure because it allowed the
girls to recover or to acquire a substantial part of their being. They are now
stronger than ever, but I expect to read more about humorous mishaps associated
with these upgraded powers!
I also enjoyed reading about a more personal affair with
Danny, the human ex of Celia. Danny always remains an interesting character in
this series, but in A Curse Awakened, his presence is not necessarily related
to her previous relationship with Celia.
I must admit that I loved a particular scene; however I
would have liked to read more about this mysterious male who appeared very
briefly and left me restless and full of promise.
I think the thing that I miss the most is the presence of
Misha, which remains my favorite male character and the presence of Aric in the
background.
All in all, this novella is perfect for making the
connection between Cursed by Destiny and the next book A Cursed Bloodline!
