This Fight Is Personal...
Wizards and vampires have been mortal
enemies since the beginning. Now Anton, son of the Wizard Master, has one last
chance to steal the unique powers of the vampire king's beautiful sister,
Tyra...and then kill her. But when he meets Tyra face-to-face, everything
changes...
Tyra will stop at nothing to defeat the
wizards, until Anton saves her life and she suddenly sees an opportunity she
never could have imagined...
As the sparks ignite between them,
together they could bring an end to the war that's decimating their people, but
only if they can find a way to trust each other...

My rating: 5/5
I was so excited when I knew that the
sequel of Chronicles of Yavn would be on Tyra and Anton that I couldn't pass
over the chance to read and enjoyed it, of course!!!
The first book in this series was so
refreshing: it's taking a new turn in vampires’ stories: mixing up paranormal
aspect such as vampires with supernatural powers but also including a new kind
of threat: wizards. Wizards??? Yes you read it right, Elisabeth Staab, the
author, was able to give us, vampires’ lovers, and a different and thrilling
new kind of vampire story.
In this sequel, the reader will be
thrown into the dark side (well there isn't a bright side...) world of the
wizards. You will learn more about their purpose, their hierarchy and more
because Prince of Power is mainly about Anton, one of the Wizard Master sons.
We met Anton briefly in the first book, where Tyra was working. At the end of
the first book we understand that we might hear more about Anton and the
wizards. For those of you who didn't read the first book, you should skip this portion:
Anton was supposed to gather information about Tyra and bring her to the wizard
leader (his own father) but instead, his kind of fell in love with her! From
this very moment Anton's life will never be the same, for the readers own
pleasure!
I liked Tyra's character, she's strong
and intelligent. She's a kick-ass girl and has a mind of her own. I think the
readers will identify and get attached easily with her because she won't back
down from what she want and need and she's really fond of Anton!
The one that really impressed me was
Xander character and everything happening to him. He's dark, mysterious and
crushed by a horrible past. I love damaged character!
And actually, can't wait to read Lee
& Alexia story (is Shiddoh will made an appearance in this duo?)
Series: Yes! (Chronicles of Yavn #2)
Stand Alone: No, I recommend you to read
the first book in this series first!
Hotness: Anton Yes, but I'm still not
over Lee :P
Proserpine Recommendation: If you
already read the first book of this series: King of Darkness, I totally
recommend you to read this sequel! If you crave vampire stories and want to
read something a little bit different, this series is for you too! Finally, if
you are a PNR lovers you should totally put this series on your Must-Read list!
BUY/BORROW/STEAL, whatever it takes!

About Elisabeth:
Elisabeth Staab still lives with her
nose in a book and at least one foot in an imaginary world. She believes that
all kinds of safe and sane love should be celebrated but she adores the
fantasy-filled realm of paranormal romance the best. She lives in the
Washington DC area
with her family and one big scared cat,
where she loves to spend time with good friends, go dancing, collect wacky
coffee mugs from which to drink her favorite beverage, and sing off-key in her
kitchen (when she isn't making characters fall in love, that is).
